The food stops were all delicious, many were quite hidden and I guarantee I never would have found them in my my own. Before we started, he asked which Vietnamese dishes I was already familiar with so he could make sure I tasted something new. I am only attaching a few pictures to not spoil the surprise. By the end of the tour I was stuffed!

After the taxi ride from the airport, I was admittedly a bit nervous about being on a motorbike in traffic. Those fears disappeared once we got under way and I knew I was in good hands.

Bottom line: don't waste time and appetite trying to wing it, book this tour and get a truly local taste of Ho Chi Minh City!

In addition to the food, which was all delicious, we made a couple of stops to take in some culture and history, and the sights and sounds of local life, in particular the Nguyen Thien Thuat apartment blocks and the flower market. Our guides were great company as well as being black belts in safe scooter driving. Overall, a very enjoyable tour, a unique way to experience HCMC and a nice way to spend some time with locals. Food choices were excellent, and we really enjoyed the meals. They talked about the food we had as well as their culture and history. A good mix for the uneducated couple that we were. Definitely a worthwhile tour to do and would recommend it.

Our only regret is not having big enough appetites to enjoy more food with them 🙂

She was a lot of fun and incredibly knowledgeable, introduced me to so many tasty snack and food stalls that the locals would visit, giving me in depth details of the local customs and cultures at every turn.
